David brings a wealth of knowledge in law and corporate governance and has practised as a commercial lawyer for over 40 years, principally at Clayton Utz, where he served as Chief Executive Partner from 2001 to 2010. Since leaving Clayton Utz in 2014, he has held a variety of Board roles, including as current Chair of BDO Australia Ltd.

David is a former Director of Medibank Private (2014-2025), former Director of PayGroup Limited (2017 – 2022); and former Member of the ASIC Corporate Governance Consultative Panel (2018 – 2023).

David has a strong personal interest in the health sector and looks forward to working and engaging with the ALLG Board to advance Better treatments…Better lives.
