Go Red4Research

Every September, Blood Cancer Awareness Month brings together individuals, communities and organisations in a shared mission – to raise awareness, drive support and advance research that saves lives. One powerful way to show your support for ALLG’s blood cancer research this year is by going Red4Research and hosting a morning tea, you are showing your dedication to Better treatments…Better lives for people with blood cancers like leukaemia, lymphoma and myeloma.

Behind every discovery, every treatment advancement, and every improved outcome is research. Research needs support to make it happen. This Blood Cancer Awareness Month, be a part of the breakthrough and help ALLG save lives.

What is Red4Research?

Red4Research is an easy, fun way to get behind vital clinical trial research to deliver better treatments, better survival and better quality of life for people with blood cancer.

Every year, nearly 20,000 Australians and 2,000 New Zealanders are diagnosed with blood cancers. Sadly, nearly 6,000 people will die each year from their disease.

Red4Research is a simple effective way to show support to those affected by blood cancers, while driving vital attention and funding toward research that can make the breakthroughs that save lives.

Why Clinical Trial Research Matters

Every approved blood cancer treatment today started with a clinical trial. Clinical trials test new drugs, therapies and approaches that can improve survival, reduce toxicity and have fewer side effects than current standard treatments. Many people with blood cancer are alive today because of breakthroughs discovered through ALLG trials.

ALLG’s recent groundbreaking BM12 CAST trial is a great example of how research transforms lives. Stephanie shared her story of her participation in the trial, which focused on improving outcomes for leukaemia patients undergoing stem cell transplants through matched sibling donors. Access to this new and effective therapy saved her life and prevented life-threatening side effects. Stephanie’s story is a powerful reminder that behind every clinical trial are patients and families looking for hope.

ALLG leads cutting-edge blood cancer clinical trials across Australia and New Zealand, giving patients access to the latest therapies and setting new global treatment standards. When you support our research, you’re not just funding world-class research – you’re providing hope and powering progress.
