Making a donation to blood cancer research is a special way to honour a loved one.

By choosing the ALLG as the beneficiary of donations, you are making a lasting tribute to a family member or a friend who has passed away. Your thoughtful gift will be used to help find a cure and improve the quality of life for patients with blood cancer.

When you make an in memoriam donation, we can send a special acknowledgment of your donation to the next of kin of your loved one. If you would like to do this, please provide the relevant details when you make your thoughtful donation. If you would like to include a personal message, please send this to info@allg.org.au

How to arrange a memorial donation

There are a number of ways you can choose to make your donation in memory of someone, including direct donations, donations in lieu of flowers, general donations at a funeral, or ongoing donations to recognise a special day in your loved one’s life.

Make a single donation

If you would like to make a single donation in memory of someone special, donate online.

Donation in lieu of flowers

To notify funeral guests of your wishes to receive in memoriam donations in lieu of flowers, you can include a message in the funeral notice. Your funeral director can help you with this or you can use our suggested wording below:

“In lieu of flowers, donations in memory can be made to the Australasian Leukaemia and Lymphoma Group (ALLG), www.allg.com.au.”

General Donations

We can provide donation envelopes if you would like to gather donations from attendees at the funeral or wake of your loved one. With help from your funeral director, these envelopes can be distributed to guests who can then make their in memoriam donation. To request these envelopes, please email Kate Halford on info@allg.org.au or ask your funeral director to do so on your behalf. After the funeral service you can collect and send the envelopes back to us for processing and receipting or guests can mail them directly to us themselves.

Ongoing In Memoriam Donations

If you wish to make an ongoing monthly donation in memory of your loved one, donate online. If you would like to donate at another frequency of your choice to signify a special day in your loved one’s life or mark a birthday or anniversary, please contact Kate Halford on info@allg.org.au
